My Faith in Reflection is a website of Saturday’s Notes Publishing that is intended to post various Biblical articles on Bible personages, books, or other related topics.
Saturday’s Notes Publishing is an informal unit of yours truly that was started in 1990 when I first started writing. At first, I would write and share only with very trusted friends but then began to expand and eventually wrote weekly for almost eight years to a subscriber list that grew over time. The weekly writings were entitled Saturday’s Notes named after the day that the first issue was written. Selected issues were internally published in three volumes.
Since the early 1990s, my Bible studies and writings have been centered around various Old and New Testament books and individuals. My signature (Connected in Him, I stand) has been used for over 30 years. The derivation of the phrase is based on my faith in Jesus Christ. The word “connected” is derived from two Latin roots – necto and conducere. The former means to bind, tie, or connect while the latter means to bring together. My life is connected to Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior by means of the Holy Spirit received in my baptism. The word “stand” is lower case reflecting that I shall not fully “Stand” until the second coming of my Lord.
In addition to my various writings over the past few years, there is a link to my published book Reflection: Journey through the Psalms by WestBow Press. My most recent book entitled Uncharted Waters is a web-based book that has been incorporated in my website.
Finally, I have written and taught three detailed Bible studies on the life of Christ, the beginnings of the Christian Church and the gospel of Mark.

I am a lifelong Christian born to Christian parents. My training began at home and continued in my elementary grades in a Lutheran Christian School. Professionally I am a clinical pharmacist (retired 2019). Since my elementary grades, I have continued to study God’s Word, more diligently in the last 32 years. I have had the privilege of various pastor teachers and mentors over this time. Each of the men have been called to their eternal rest. They are the Late Reverend John Meyer, the Late Robert Trautmann (my uncle), and Reverend W. Eugene Lauterbach. Now, Pastor Gene (W. Eugene) has been called to be with his Savior (4/2/2023). By God’s grace, I have been fortunate to have these three learned men unlock the mysteries of God’s Word and its application in my life.
My prayer is that you too will “Stay Connected” to your Lord and Savior.
And now until Him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you blameless before His glorious throne with great joy; to the only true God our Lord Jesus Christ be glory, majesty, power, and authority through Jesus Christ our LORD both now and forevermore. Amen.
